mira.

A notebook that remembers you.

alpha

The idea.

Most note apps treat AI as a chat tab — a sidebar where you go to ask questions. Mira flips that. The AI sits next to your writing like a quiet companion: watching, reflecting, never interrupting.

You write on the left. Mira writes on the right — what she notices, what she connects, what she questions. Not a chatbot. A mirror.

Two modes.

  • Mirror (default) — dual-pane. Open and write, zero friction. The reflection happens quietly on the right.
  • Manage — single pane for organizing, searching, linking. Press ⌘. to switch.

Why Markdown.

Notes outlive apps. If your knowledge lives in a proprietary format, you're renting your own thoughts. Mira's storage is a folder of .md files — the same format you've been writing in for a decade.

Why not another chatbot.

A chat tab interrupts. A mirror reflects. Mira's job is not to answer your questions — it's to make your own thinking visible to you. The AI is a writing partner, not an oracle.

Yours, locally.

Works out of the box — no setup, no accounts to wire up. Your notes are plain Markdown files that stay on your machine; the AI reads them, never owns them. Premium unlocks the best models.
